Student Voice

Mr. Thornton, Ms Sculley and 2025 School Captains

2025 School Captains Address

As we wrap up another incredible term, we want to take a moment to reflect on our journey so far and share some exciting plans for the term ahead. Being your school captains has been an absolute privilege, and we are incredibly proud of the leadership, commitment, and school spirit we've seen across our community.

Earlier this term, we had the amazing opportunity to attend the Grip Leadership Conference. It was an inspiring day filled with insightful workshops on teamwork, initiative, and making a positive impact in our school. We returned with fresh ideas and a renewed sense of purpose, eager to implement strategies that will enhance student leadership at our school.

We also had the honour of representing our school at the Casey Student Leader Reception. This event brought together student leaders from across the region, allowing us to connect, share ideas, and discuss important issues affecting students today. It was an inspiring experience, reinforcing the power of student voice in shaping our community. Another exciting milestone this term was our first Student Representative Council (SRC) meeting!

It was fantastic to see so many passionate students coming together to discuss school initiatives, student wellbeing, and ways we can improve our school environment. With strong collaboration, we are confident that this year’s SRC will bring meaningful change and new opportunities for all students.
