From the Principal

Christian Woodcock

As we approach the end of what has been a busy and eventful term, it's an ideal time to reflect on the many activities and milestones that have shaped the past 10 weeks.

We began the term with the Year 7 BBQ, a wonderful event that helped us welcome new students and their families to the college. It provided a valuable opportunity to connect with parents and discuss their children's journey here at the school.

In week 3, we captured lasting memories with our school photos, giving students a chance to commemorate their time at school. We also completed NAPLAN testing for Year 7 and Year 9 students, which took place over a two-week period.

The Year 12 study camp was another early highlight, helping our senior students prepare for the challenges ahead. Year 7 camp followed shortly after, offering students a chance for outdoor adventure and team-building, with excellent participation and engagement.

Our Year 9 students enjoyed an enriching City Excursion, which combined education with fun experiences. The whole school came together for an exciting sports carnival at Casey Fields on February 20th, with fantastic student involvement.

We also celebrated International Women’s Day during the term, recognizing the achievements and contributions of women in our community.

In week 9, our Parent-Student-Teacher interviews provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections with families, discuss student progress, and celebrate the accomplishments of our students during the first term.

Looking ahead, next term will bring its own challenges, especially with the colder months approaching. Both students and staff will need to pace themselves as we navigate an 11-week term.

I wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday break as we approach Easter. I look forward to welcoming you all back to Cranbourne East SC for the start of Term 2.
