Senior Manager at MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Education)

John Corkill has been a dedicated supporter of schools and principals in the Eastern region for over 20 years. I sincerely thank John for his invaluable support over the past four years. His commitment has been evident through his twice-termly visits to our school and his ongoing engagement with our leadership team, helping us grow in all areas of learning.

John, we deeply appreciated your unwavering support for our students and families, always offering guidance when needed and stepping in promptly whenever assistance was required. Your dedication often extended beyond the usual time commitments, demonstrating your genuine care for our St Kevin’s staff and community.

At this stage, I am unsure who my senior manager will be, but I will inform the community as soon as I receive confirmation.

Arrival On Time

Thank you to our wonderful parents and carers in the St Kevin’s community for your efforts in bringing students to school on time. This greatly supports our morning routines and allows students to fully participate in mindful activities like meditation, which helps set their brains up for success. When students arrive on time, they feel settled, safe, and ready to learn. Keep it up!

Student absences

When a child is away from school there are a few ways parents and carers can communicate this to the school.  The information required is the date, student’s name, reason for absence and days away from school.

If you call the school you still need to complete one method to ensure the message is archived.

  1. Through the compass app
  2. Via an email to principal and class teacher
  3. Via note to class teacher

Inform and Empower

Being cybersafe is an essential part of everyday life. It’s important to stay alert, be aware of what’s circulating online, and carefully consider what we share.  Inform and Empower consists of two presenters, Martin McGauran an educator  & Carley McGauran a psychologist.

Two years ago they worked with our students, staff and parents.  The feedback from these sessions was extremely positive.  On Tuesday afternoon staff are having their session with Marty and Carley.  The students have already had one session and will continue to work with the team this term. The Parent and Carer session is on Thursday 27th of March called ‘Raising Kids in a Digital  Age’.  This will take place in the school library at 7pm

Unexpected Visitor

We had a massive kangaroo hop across the oval on Monday morning.  The students were very entertained and mesmerised by the graceful animal.  We all had something to chat about on Monday!

If you would like to be included on this year's Friendship list, please complete the details and sign the authorisation below. Due to the Privacy Act, family details cannot be given out through the school office. Each parent will need to complete the Google form Friendship List.   Please complete the short survey by WEDNESDAY 12th  of MARCH. The final Friendship list will be distributed in the following weeks.

Please note you are not obliged to be part of the Friendship list. The Friendship list is for personal use only. No details are to be released to any third parties. This is a PFA initiative. We ask for your email and mobile number but please only give information that you are comfortable with.
