Principal's Message

Cold Weather Reminder
As the cold weather settles in, we kindly remind families to ensure children are dressed warmly for the school day. Please check that students have appropriate layers, including jumpers and jackets, to stay comfortable during outdoor activities.
It’s also a good time to check that all school uniform items are clearly labelled with your child’s name. Our lost property collection—located in the breezeway near the Prep classrooms—is currently overflowing with unclaimed items, including jumpers, drink bottles, and lunch containers. Regularly checking lost property can help return these belongings to their rightful owners.
Student reports and parent teacher meetings
I want to thank our teachers for preparing the Semester 1 reports which provide you with a detailed overview of your child’s learning achievement. These reports are based on a wide range of formal and informal assessments and reflect the rich learning program that is offered at Mount View Primary School. I am proud of your children’s achievements and am grateful to our teachers and education support staff for their care and commitment to the learning and wellbeing of our students. These reports will be available via Compass on Friday 27 June.
We will be holding parent teacher meetings at school on Monday 30 June from 3;45pm-8.00pm and Tuesday 1 July from 3.45-4.45pm. These important meetings allow families and teachers to discuss students’ strengths and areas for improvement and growth. We value these opportunities to work in partnership with families to support students' learning and wellbeing. Next week, we will provide further information so that you can book a time to meet with your child’s teacher.

A Reminder About School Procedures
To ensure a smooth and safe school day for all students, we kindly ask parents to follow these important procedures:
School Access During the Day: Once classes have started, parents should not walk through the school grounds unless signing in at the office. This helps maintain a secure and focused learning environment.
Early Pick-Ups: If you need to collect your child early, please email their teacher in the morning and report to the office when you arrive. This allows us to minimise disruptions to learning.
We appreciate your support in keeping our school a safe and well-organised place for all students.
