Year Three/Four News

Recount - Weeks 9 & 10
By Andre P and Gus B (B5)
In the past awesome couple of weeks, 3/4 students have been learning new, exciting things in Reading, Writing, Maths and Humanities.
3/4 students have been learning to infer the author's message, as well as how the setting can impact the story during Reading.
On Monday, the 23rd of June, the 3/4 cohort started a persuasive piece of writing for a new Local Government facility for Miners Rest. First, we learnt about persuasive skills and then we planned our writing piece. Finally, we started working on our draft.
Have you ever learnt about angles? Well, we have in Maths the last few weeks. These are the angles we've been learning about: acute, right angle, obtuse, straight, reflex and revolution.
In Humanities, the 3/4 students have been learning about local government and we've also done a plan for a new facility, such as a pump track, pool or library.
