Foundation News

Foundation students have been learning about teen numbers (the numbers between 10 and 20). They have been using blocks, counters and icy pole sticks to show their understanding of the numbers. They have been making quantities and explaining them by talking about how many tens are in the number and how many ones.
After then had learned about all the numbers they have been playing a game of Tic-Tac-Teen, completing cut and paste sorting activities and counting objects in the classroom.
This Friday we have Barry Heywood, a former principal coming to visit the Foundation students as part of their Geography unit. He will be here to talk about how the school has changed over the years and the land on which we learn.
