New Document Cameras in Every Classroom
We’re pleased to share that all classrooms are now equipped with new document cameras, thanks to the generous fundraising efforts of our Parents' and Friends' Association and the support of our school community.
Document cameras are a valuable teaching tool that enhance the way teachers deliver explicit instruction. They allow teachers to project real-time demonstrations—such as writing, drawing, or working through a maths problem—so that all students can clearly see the process step-by-step. This visibility supports clearer modelling, increases student engagement, and helps cater to a range of students.
Beyond explicit teaching, document cameras are also useful for sharing student work, reading texts together as a class, and providing immediate feedback. They enable teachers to make learning more interactive and responsive, supporting the rich and dynamic learning environment we aim to create across the school.
Thank you again to our PFA and community for helping to make this possible.
One-Off and Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
We always welcome extra hands to help make our events and programs run smoothly. There are several one-off events coming up across the rest of the year where we’d love your support, including excursions, camps, House Athletics Day, the Colour Fun Run, the School Disco, Christmas Carols and more! These events are always more successful (and more fun) with our parent and carer community involved.
If you’re able to volunteer in any capacity, please ensure you have a current Working with Children Check. (See below for details on how to apply.)
Working with Children Check
If you’re planning to volunteer, whether it’s helping in the classroom, on excursions or at school events, you’ll need a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC). It’s free for volunteers and is a Department of Education requirement to helps us keep our students safe.
How to Apply:
If you need any help with this process, please let us know.

Holidays and Last Day of School
As the term draws to a close, we want to thank all of our families for your continued support and involvement in school life. The school holidays are a valuable time to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy a change of pace with your children.
Amongst the rest and reset, holidays are also a great reminder of how powerful small moments of connection can be. Whether it’s a chat over breakfast, a shared laugh during a board game, or simply spending time in the same space without rushing. I hope you find the time to do this at some stage over the end of term break.
See you next term.
Warmly,
Tim Mulhall
