Women's Hockey
This week we welcomed back Old Collegian and former Hockey Captain, Lily Cush, who was excited and will be playing with us for the next few weeks. We started the game against Coleraine strongly and pushed our attacking drives into the circle, despite being faced by Mrs Cameron working as their key fullback. Liv Rees was cunning in her tactics as she made quick decisions to deceive the opposition, assisting Sophie Merrin’s stunning 3 goals, smashing into the backboard. The highlight of all was Rosie Baker making her debut in the inner and scoring her first ever goal with a perceptive pick up, flicking it into the net. This round was our first win for the season with a final score of 4-2. I am extremely proud of the girls with their development, and hopefully, there are more wins to come.

Men’s Hockey
Despite the absence of our Captain, Jack Jarvis, who was unwell, the team recorded a 4-2 victory over Couldabeens last Sunday. We began with fast open hockey but did not make full use of our control of the game in the first quarter. When our opponents, the Couldabeens, came more into the match, it became a tight battle. Isaac Shaw, Hugh Stratmann, Harry Brown and Rupert Merrin were our goalscorer as we settled late in the game and drew away to record a 4-2 victory. Special mention should go to goalie Cairo Cullinane, who kept us in the game at one stage in the third quarter when Couldabeens threatened to take the lead. The double goalscorer for the Couldabeens was Henry Russell, enlisted to play his first game for the season and who twice showed good composure near the post.
