Boarding

What an incredible term it has been for our boarding community! At the heart of everything we do is our positive and welcoming culture, where every member of our small but mighty community genuinely supports one another. They have all truly done well.

Some highlights from Term Two included:

• Formal Dinner - showcasing our community's strong connection.
• ABSA Boarding Week - incorporating all boarders in our activities and celebrations.
• Theme Nights - sparking creativity and laughter, along with opportunities for a little mid-week stress relief.
• Speirs versus Mac House competitions - demonstrating how friendly rivalry strengthens our community bonds.
• New Badminton and Futsal competitions, Weekend Hobbies and Tricky Trivia nights - keeping all boarders active.  
• Birthday celebrations - in particular 18ths with several new adults now driving to and from the Boarding House. 

As we conclude this remarkable term, we're incredibly proud of the positive, welcoming culture we've nurtured together. In our small community, every person is supported, valued and belongs.

Boarder of the Week

Year 7 student Makenna Klemm has shown remarkable resilience in her first year of boarding. Despite acknowledging that "the biggest challenge is adjusting to something new," Makenna has embraced boarding life enthusiastically. She particularly enjoys the social aspect, stating, "I love having a lot of people around to talk to." Her positive attitude and determination to overcome challenges make her a super boarder who has successfully navigated the transition to both a new school and a boarding environment.

Well done, Makenna, we are proud of you!

Naracoorte bus travel

The Naracoorte boarders’ bus will run on Monday, July 21, at the normal scheduled time. Boarders would have placed their names on the list before the end of this term; however, if there is a change of plans, please send an email to amonk@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au.
