Celebrating the King’s Birthday: Our Cadets Shine at Government House
Over the weekend, Sydney marked the King’s Birthday with a distinguished ceremony at Government House. This annual event honours the King’s official birthday and is a highlight in the city’s ceremonial calendar.
We are incredibly proud to share that this year, five Australian Army Cadets (AAC) from our school were selected to participate in the Governor’s Guard for Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales. Among them was Lachlan (CG12), who had the honour of serving as Guard Commander—a remarkable achievement and a testament to his leadership and dedication.
The ceremony was featured on 10 News at 5pm on Saturday, 7th June, including a brief interview with Lachlan. If you missed it, you can catch the segment on the 10 Network’s online channel.
Congratulations to Lachlan and all our cadets for representing our School and the AAC with pride and professionalism at such a prestigious event.
Honouring History: Cadets Provide Guard of Honour at Battle for Australia Commemoration
On Friday 5 June, eighteen of our dedicated cadets participated in a Guard of Honour for Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, during the Defence of Sydney commemoration at North Head. This solemn event pays tribute to those who served and sacrificed for our nation during World War II.
Our cadets stood proudly, demonstrating respect, discipline, and a deep sense of duty. Their involvement in this important ceremony reflects the values we strive to instill in all our students.
We commend all cadets involved for their exemplary conduct and commitment to honouring Australia’s history.
