A Good Place

A walk in the Common
A great afternoon was had by all the awesome students involved in the A Good Place program which runs in collaboration with Landcare.
This week was all about wellbeing in nature and noticing how our mood changes when outside. Nioka and Nicole took us for a walk in The Common and explained how to find possums and koalas. Apparently you look down, not up (their scat will be on the ground underneath them). We were then taught how to make twine in nature - patience and resilience was needed.
Students then had to work together to build a tee pee out of natural resources and were able to use their high quality rope to tie things together. We were very proud of the final result with students asking to go back there again for our next session to put the final touches on it.
