Well done to all the staff and students who came to school in their PJs on Wednesday. We raised $255 for State Schools' Relief. Have a look at the great photos below.

Year 2 Como House Excursion

Hi everyone,

Our names are Adrian and Saanjh. On Wednesday 25th June, the Year 2s went on a super fun excursion to Como House. This related to our Inquiry topic this term, Then and Now. We got to see what life was like for people a long time ago!

Our favourite part of the excursion was seeing how people in the past did their laundry and getting to experience it for ourselves. We also liked playing olden day games and solving who broke the mystery doll! We had to figure it out by looking all around the Como House garden. It was tiring but so fun! It was also really exciting exploring inside Como House and seeing all the cool rooms from the past. It's so different to the present! It was interesting seeing how people lived in the olden days.

If you are learning about the past and the present, we think you should definitely go to Como House too!

Waste Free Wednesday

At Deer Park West Primary School, every Wednesday the school participates in Waste Free Wednesday. The students are encouraged to bring a lunch box with NO RUBBISH for both recess and lunch. This is a great way to reduce the amount of waste we create in order to make the earth healthier.

Please assist your child/children in doing this by taking items out of their packets before coming to school.

Thank you,
