Wakakirri National Award

Imperium

Trinity College is proud to announce that the performance group, Imperium, has taken home a National Award, for the second year, for their performance 'The Industrial Revolution' as part of the 2023 National Wakakirri Story-Dance Festival. This was selected from a group of 200 participating schools.

Wakakirri Festival Director Adam Loxley praised the outstanding performance and storytelling of schools this year, stating, "The standard this year was exceptional, so Trinity College should be very proud of their award." This acknowledgment reflects the high quality and creativity that Trinity College brought to their participation in the Wakakirri festival. The Wakakirri Ambassador Libby Hammer described the performance as “A story dance with a powerful message about humankind’s advancements since the industrial revolution and the effect they have had on the planet.”

Congratulations to all the students involved for their hard work and outstanding results they have achieved. A special thanks to Mrs. Paula Nicoletto, Dance Co-ordinator for her dedication towards the students and the Performing Arts Program.

Year 11 & 12 Performing Arts Dinner

Last Sunday evening, October 15, the Annual Performing Arts Dinner was held for members of the College year 11 & 12 performance groups and their parents. This was an exciting evening where we were able to formally recognise the contributions of the year 12 students over their time at Trinity College in the Performing Arts.

The highlight of the night was witnessing the amazing talents of our year 12 captains, as they entertained the room with their musical talents on instruments they have never played before, this left everyone in attendance smiling with tears of joy.

Thank you to all the parents who assisted in the coordination of this wonderful evening and to the Friends of Performing Arts for their support. A special thank you goes to the year 12 students and their families for their passion and dedication to the Performing Arts at Trinity College.
