Annual House Sports

On Friday 3rd November, all SPS students participated in the annual House Sports competition. Students, in their house teams (divided into F-2 and 3-6 age groups), participated in a circuit of activities throughout the morning to earn points for their house. Activities included - amongst other events - long jump, hurdles, hockey dribbling, basketball shooting, quoits and target throwing, and allowed students to challenge themselves with new or different skills.

The 5/6 Student Leaders very confidently and capably lead the events, explaining and demonstrating the activities to each group and encouraging the younger students. When the teams had participated in all activities, Ms Symons calculated the points earnt in each event to determine the winning house. It was a suspenseful wait for Ms Symons to announce that Cook had won the day in a very close competition. Congratulations Cook!

The points earnt by each house at the House Sports will be added to their points aggregate earnt across the year and the 2023 winning house will be announced at the end of the year.

Many thanks to Ms Symons for organising and coordinating the day.
