I am excited to share with you the news that Mrs Marlise Janetzki and husband Jack are expecting a child early in the new year, a sibling for Grace. Congratulations to Marlise and family! Marlise will likely begin the year with us for a short time, and Mr Josh Huxtable will work additional hours in 2024 to support our Performing Arts Program.
In addition, Miss Carly Lethborg will be taking a year of leave in 2024 to travel, visit family, and work internationally. Carly will be returning to St Paul in 2025, and we look forward to benefiting from her experience overseas.
Thank you to all members of the school community who were able to join us for Sports Day, or assisted us by preparing your children for the day. We were blessed with fabulous weather, and a wonderful community feel. Board Chair Merryn Ruwoldt and inaugural St Paul Principal, Robert Hoff, presented trophies to very excited children on our 50th Anniversary Sports Day.
Thank you to Karly Bartlett for her organisation of the day, I would also like particularly thank our class carers and other parent and family volunteers for hosting the very popular sausage sizzle. This support not only serves our community with a lunch option and a little fundraising, but is an important part of developing and growing community.
I appreciate the efforts of all staff in setting up and packing up on the day and to those parents who stayed to support this pack-up. Your help makes the load much lighter at the end of the day – thank you!
Congratulations to the overall winners on the day – Yaltu! The final results of our sports day were:
5th Place: Kardi
4th Place: Kadli
3rd Place: Nantu
2nd Place: Kurraka
1st Place: Yaltu
Congratulations to the following trophy winners for the highest points scored for all sports day events, including the pre-sports day events.
Junior Boy: Alonzo Nhim
Junior Girl: Estella Sumner-Graefe
Intermediate Boy: Harry Karvelis
Intermediate Girl: Tora Kowald
Senior Boy: Liam Kowald
