The Student Representative Council (SRC) has decided they would like to have a Halloween Dress Up Day on Friday the 3rd November.
We encourage all students to come dressed up in their favourite Halloween outfits. Anyone who doesn't want to dress up is welcome to come to school in casual clothes or school uniform.
Some spooky themed activities and arts and crafts will also be completed in classrooms.
All chosen and designed by our students for the students!
Senior students completing our SBAT Make 'N' Bake program dropped in on Tuesday to give us a sneak peak of the cookies they have been busy baking and decorating for World Teachers' Day.
These 'thank you' cookies have been handed out to all staff at VRS today to show our appreciation for all their hard work both in and out of the classroom.
Somehow, it's nearly November and Christmas is just around the corner!
We would like to remind the VRS community of our Annual Christmas Raffle and put a call out for prize donations please.
Donations can be anything - sweet treats, craft activities, candles, toys, Christmas themed goodies etc.
We ask that prizes please be dropped into the school front office unwrapped.
Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!
A reminder that Monday 6th November is a student-free day. The Early Education Program will still be running as per normal.
The Melbourne Cup public holiday this year falls on Tuesday 7th November. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Wednesday.
Our car park can be a very busy place! A reminder to please adhere to the 5kmp/h speed limit at all times.
Staff supervise the car park during the following pick-up & drop off times:
Morning drop off: 9:15 - 9:30am
Afternoon pick up: 2:30 - 3:00pm
It is very important that you do not drop off or pick up students while our contract buses are in the carpark as we need to safely get our students on and off these buses.
Also please only turn LEFT out of our carpark to help avoid congestion within the carpark.
Dear parents and carers,
The ongoing conflict in the Middle East continues to cause distress for staff, students, families and carers, especially those who have family and friends in the region.
Our school is a rich and diverse community and acknowledging that it is vital that our students, staff and families all feel safe and included in everything we do.
I want to assure you that the department is monitoring the situation from a school security perspective.
While we want to maintain an open and welcoming environment, we are also being vigilant in terms of safety, ensuring all our procedures, like visitors signing in and out, are being followed.
If your child is impacted and/or distressed by the current conflict, you may find some aspects of this resource helpful:
Support is also available through external services including:
Please feel free to get in contact me if you would like to discuss this further.
Enjoy your weekend 😄
