What an exciting start to the term we've had in Foundation L!

Inquiry this term we are covering the topic of earth science. In Foundation, we learn about changes that occur in the sky. We began by discussing things that we see in the sky during the day, versus things that we see during the night. The students were able to make some wonderful comparisons! Check out our day and night activities we completed using pastels and watercolour paint!

This term we have also been learning about data collection and graphing in mathematics. We listened do a story called 'Duck! Rabbit!'. You might like to listen to this at home and discuss what you see! Students then surveyed their friends and used tally marks to find out whether they saw a duck or rabbit at first. They then used their data to create a picture graph.
