Earn and Learn Job Interviews

A huge thank you to Karen Mok, Ebony Balaz and Deb Koh for joining Mrs Streitberger and Mr Shaw to conduct interviews for students in the Leadership Centre.  The students were applying for positions ranging from Lawyer, to Librarian to Banker to support their Earn and Learn unit. The students were amazing, all very prepared and articulate in their interviews. Miss Dawson and the 5/6 teachers are going to have a very difficult job awarding all of the positions.

Principal Conference

Ms Bennetts and Mrs Streitberger attended the Inner East state Principals Conference on Tuesday.  Although we are out of the school for the day its is an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues from local schools and be briefed on the priorities across the state. There was a focus on developing the middle leaders in our schools, managing attendance as this has increased since COVID across all schools and investigating numeracy and literacy achievement.

Maths Morning

Today we hosted parents and carers for our school Maths Morning. Parents joined their children in class and then attended a presentation from our Mathematic leaders Emily Glen and Kate Molloy. We had well over a 70 parents stay for the presentation and give feedback on what they enjoyed/valued and what we could include in the future. We also understand that trying to get around to siblings is difficult but our Discovery and Inquiry Centres had lots of parents and the students loved sharing the games they play to reinforce the strategies they are learning in Mathematics.
