She always takes feedback on board so beautifully and applies it as best she can. This independence has really helped support her writing this term and the improvement is amazing! PrepCatherine Perseverance Trying her hardest in every learning opportunity! There is not much that will stop Catherine from giving her best  in her learning. She always has a positive attitude and mindset, even when the learning is challenging. That smile is always there, and somehow it grows even bigger when her perseverance pays off! Jemina has worked very hard on this particular genre .and as an excellent writer do, she studied the genre and format, discovered the particular vocabulary needed, conferenced and revised all the way through until she felt enormous pride and satisfaction for what she had created. Well done!!! I am looking forward to reading more of your writing.

Florence always enters the classroom each morning with a big smile and a hello! Over the year, Florence has brought a new level of perseverance to her learning each day. She consistently tries her hardest at being focused and loves exploring new leanings, especially in literacy and Visual Art. Florence can work with any of her peers and is always ready to assist others. Her perseverance is really shining through as she continues to try her best each day! Chloe is fantastic at including everyone and makes sure her group feels supported and successful. She loves bouncing ideas around, asking thoughtful questions, and finding new ways to explain her thinking so her classmates can understand too. Her calm, caring nature makes her a wonderful team member, and she helps create a positive, happy learning space wherever she is. Way to go, Chloe!
Year  2MayomCuriosityMayom has contributed to our inquiry unit  on Physical Sciences around the concept of push and pull by asking many questions, sharing his noticings and contributing to class discussions and reflections on our excursion to MOPA - the Museum of Performing Arts.  Mayom was so involved and so engaged in the activities it was a joy to watch

Marselle always entering the classroom each morning with a big smile and a hello! Over the year Marselle has brought a new level of perseverance to her learning each day. She consistently tries her hardest at being focused and loves exploring new learnings, across all curriculum areas. 3/4 AJoseph RisicatoReflectionJoseph displays this disposition by being able to express and record his thoughts on different topics. He wrote a heartfelt letter about his Nonno and Nonna and shared what makes them so special. Joseph included why he is grateful for them and what he loves doing with them. Joseph also recorded why he appreciates his Nonno and Nonna so much. Well done Joseph!

For not giving up when she finds a task challenging. Marian has a go at different learning activities and persists to complete them to the best of her ability, such as her information report on Cherry Blossom Trees. Marian asks questions when she is unsure about something.

Giselle, I really liked the way you didn’t give up 

and how you were determined when learning about short division. I know you were in the learning pit but you approached the learning with focus, resilience and a positive mindset. You can do anything you put your mind to!

You’re doing extremely well in Grade 3 and I hope you’re as proud of yourself as I am of you!

5/6 APaige Ralston Collaboration Paige displays this disposition by working well with all her classmates. She is polite, listens well and respectfully engages in group discussions. Paige is always willing to help others and is quick to notice when people are upset or need some help with a task. We are lucky to have you in 5-6A!

Independence

Jacob has started term 2 with a bang. From day one he has been eager to get started on his learning, contribute to class conversations and have a go in all learning areas. Jacob works hard to complete tasks in the given time. Jacob is consistently supporting his peers and offering support where necessary, and always ready to celebrate his peers when there is new learning achieved. Jacob has been so focused on his handwriting and the hard work is really paying off. When Jacob puts his mind to something, he doesn't stop until it is achieved! Way to go Jacob!

 

Grade 2Camilla ConnellIndependence 

While only having been at St Mary's for 2 weeks, she has settled into the year 2 routines beautifully. Camilla is eager to share her learning and contribute to class discussions and is always looking for ways to improve her learning. 

 

3/4 ALewi HadchitiCuriosityFor being actively involved in our excursion to the Melbourne Museum. Lewi had a go at answering a variety of questions and listened attentively to what was being explained. He was engaged in a range of activities, eager to learn more and develop his understanding.
