Anthony's Message

Dear Sunny Families

David continues to enjoy a family holiday overseas but we will welcome him back on Monday the 15th of September.

This week our 3/4 Students attended their camp at Sunny Stones and the week before our 5/6 students were away at Lady Northcote camp. Please check out the class pages for some great photos. 

School camp is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience some independence and adventure while being supported in a safe environment by trusted educators. Students develop resilience and practise reasonable risk taking as they navigate many activities that require team work and a variety of problem solving skills. Early next term we will have our Grade 2 sleepover which is an excellent preparation for younger students before they move to the upper primary and attend multiple nights at camp.

The experience of camp is made possible by the willingness of our amazing staff to attend with the students and their committment to providing this opportunity for our students is appreciated by our community. I would like to make a special mention of Jesse from Team Kids who attended last week's 5/6 camp as an extra support and according to our teachers he's the greatest teacher to never have a VIT card. Thank you Jesse for being so giving to our community.

As holidays approach may I wish everyone a happy and safe spring break. We will see everyone back at school on Monday the 6th of October.
