Year 1

What a wild ride this term has been in 1C—animals roaming, swimming splashing, chocolate turning into maths (the best kind of maths!), gardens growing, and kitchens sizzling. With so much packed in, it’s basically been a party disguised as school and we’ve got plenty to celebrate and be proud of!
Here are some of the highlights from Term 3:
Mia- My favourite thing was writing our fact and opinions because I kept doing my best work.
Lauren- The best thing I did this term was the incursion because the animals were so cute.
Tripp- The best thing that happened this term was the maths games that we played today because we got to choose the games we wanted to play.
Phoebe- The best thing was Heggerty because I liked when everyone got Heggerty hero because it made me feel good inside.
Hendrix- My favourite thing was art because I like being creative and arty.
Bianca- My favourite thing was cooking because I liked making different foods. My favourite was the pizza.
Mikayla- I loved PBL because I like playing with toys.
Lyla- I liked the cute fuzzy koala at the incursion because he was soft and fuzzy.
Layla- I enjoyed gardening because I got to plant lots of different things.
Aspen- I loved partner reading because I like being in partners.
Gray- My favourite thing was the incursion because I saw lots of new animals that I had never heard of.
Alfie- I liked doing turn and talks in reading because you get to share all your information and know the information from the other person.
Emmy- My favourite thing was Book Week because that day made me happy.
Zeke- I liked reading because we got to see funny Rattenborough.
Abby- I loved assembly because I got an award.
Gwen- My favourite thing was learning about animals and habitats because all the animals we learnt about were cool.
Sam- I liked cooking because I love to try new food. My favourite was the crackers!
Nate- I loved Quick Maths because I almost finished my sheets.
Clancy- I liked writing fact and opinions because we got to do good copies.
James D- My favourite was maths games because we had partners and could play the games we wanted.
James I- I liked making the posters because we can help people to stop hurting habitats and animals.
Claudia- My favourite thing this term was watching the Year 1’s do a very tricky maths test.
They all showed such focus, such positivity and just solider on. I felt extra proud in that moment!
