Mindful listening

Foundation students practised mindful listening after they first read a book called "Listen like an Elephant". They made their own elephant ears to practise their mindful listening.

Holiday recharge

As Term 4 approaches, it’s essential to use the holidays as an opportunity for children to rest, recharge, and prepare for the upcoming busy term. By focusing on rest, routine, and reassurance, families can support their child’s wellbeing and set them up for success.

The holidays are the perfect time to re-establish healthy routines such as regular sleep, balanced meals, and outdoor play. Encouraging independence through simple tasks, such as packing their own bag or organising their belongings, also builds confidence for the new school term.

In Term 4, students will participate in the swimming program, which promotes independence and water safety skills. They will also be engaging with new learning

opportunities in the classroom, building on the progress they have made so far this year. Importantly, children will begin to prepare for the transition into their new year levels, which includes the exciting opportunity to meet their new teachers.

By supporting your child’s wellbeing over the holidays and talking positively about the term ahead, you can help them return to school feeling calm, confident, and ready for the challenges and opportunities that Term 4 brings.

Happy Holidays.
