The Teacher Spotlight

The JSC is excited to launch a new feature in our school newsletter — The Teacher Spotlight.

Every newsletter, two teachers will be interviewed by our JSC reps in order for the school community to learn about the awesome things our staff do both in and out of the classroom.

What do you like most about being a teacher?

I like that I get to see all of our students learn and have fun.
 

What is your greatest achievement?

Having a great family and awesome life.

 

When you were a primary school student, were you naughty or well-behaved?

I was very well behaved because my parents were both teachers.

What is a great primary school memory that you have?

Representing the school during sport was a great memory I hold close to my heart.

 

What is the funniest thing a student has ever said or done?

Asking me to be a bunny rabbit at the school concert.

 

What subject did you struggle with most when you were a student at school?

I was not very good at art even though my dad was an art teacher.

 

What’s your favourite way to celebrate student achievements in class?

I really like when students share their best work with me.

 

Have you ever had a really embarrassing moment while teaching?

My handwriting wasn't the best so whenever I wrote on the board it was quite embarrassing.

What do you like most about being a teacher?

Teaching grade 6 because there is a lot of responsibility and learning opportunities. Seeing students get a bit better each day. 

Where were you born?

Macksville New South Wales.

What is your favourite book or movie/Tv show to watch?

Seinfeld.

Which teacher have you known the longest?

Mrs Sim.

Do you know which teacher has been at CSPS the longest?

Ms Pappas.

What is your favourite excursion you have been on? Why?

Parliament house because it was so real and love politics.

Are you a neat or messy teacher?

Messy teacher.

What is your greatest achievement?

Being on TV “Hard Quiz”.

If you could have any other job, what would it be?

Politics or pro golfer.

What is the funniest thing a student has ever said or done?

“What if rivers were called Jupiter.” Zach B

What do you enjoy doing during recess or lunch breaks?

Hanging out with friends and a MR Brightside scone.

Have you ever had a really embarrassing moment while teaching?

Pants split and used multiple safety pins. 

If you could add something to our school, what would it be?

Lunch catering.
