Resumé Writing Alumni Session

On Wednesday the 26th February, we invited back alumni, Marietta Thompson, Class of 1998, to deliver a resumé writing session to our VCE VM students. Marietta, owner of Ballarat's Grill’d restaurant and an inspiring artist, is currently based in Jan Juc, Victoria. Having operated her own HR business for several years prior to opening the Grill’d franchise in Ballarat, Marietta called on her wealth of experience, sharing her knowledge of resumé dos and don’ts. Learning some first-hand tips and tricks about how to sell themselves when creating their resumé and how to put their best foot forward during the job interview process, students started to think outside the box. It was an excellent opportunity to remind students not to overlook the skills and achievements they already have.

This fantastic session would not have been possible without the Alumni Program and the willingness of our alums to give back through donating their time and sharing their experience.
