From the Library Resource Centre (LRC)

SLRC News
In past newsletters I have informed the BMGS Community on the opening times and borrowing details for our 3 Library branches and the Library’s subscription to World Book Online. This week I would like to inform you about another resource subscribed to by the Senior Library : ClickView - our school’s educational video resource.
Used by over 4,500 schools, this Australian platform provides access to thousands of videos and educational resources for all subjects, in a safe and secure environment.
The platform hosts a wide range of classroom-friendly video content, from popular films to documentaries and Australian-made educational videos. This ClickView-produced educational content is curriculum-aligned and designed to give Australian students a deeper understanding of topics and concepts.
The videos are also a fantastic resource for you to use with your child at home to revise a topic or to address other concerns such as student wellbeing.
Movies + TV is one of the dashboards that contains content handpicked for students. This diverse and engaging video content selection includes:
- Documentaries, like David Attenborough’s Blue Planet;
- Theatre, including Shakespeare productions and the Bangarra Dance Group;
- Films from Disney;
- Other educationally and culturally relevant programs.
ClickView provides a safe way for your children to view valuable video content online, meaning the inbuilt rating system ensures children can only view content that is age-appropriate.
Secondary students can access ClickView anywhere, at any time. Type www.clickview.com.au into your browser or download the free app for iPad or iPhone in the Apple Store. Simply sign in using your child’s school login credentials. If Secondary students are unsure what their access details are, they can see me in the Senior Library or email me on bmgslrc@bmgs.nsw.edu.au as I am the administrator for this platform.
Primary students mainly access ClickView with their teachers selecting programs for their classroom usage.
