Dear BMGS Senior School Community,

As we move into the second half of Term 1, there is a great deal of activity and engagement across the Senior School. This week has been particularly eventful, with significant milestones for our students and community.

Year 7 Camp

Our Year 7 students have just returned from their camp, where they took part in an exciting program designed to foster resilience, teamwork, and friendships. From outdoor challenges to team-building exercises, the students demonstrated great enthusiasm and adaptability. It was wonderful to see them embracing new experiences and building strong connections with their peers.

International Women’s Day Assembly

On Wednesday, we held a special assembly to celebrate International Women’s Day, recognising the achievements and contributions of women in our school and beyond. Our guest speakers provided valuable insights into the importance of gender equality, and our student leaders delivered inspiring messages about empowerment and leadership.

Mufti Day & Donations for Junction 142

A heartfelt thank you to all students and families who participated in our Mufti Day and contributed donations for Junction 142. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting those in need within our community. It is always inspiring to see our students actively engage in service initiatives and demonstrate their commitment to making a difference.

NAPLAN Begins for Year 7 & 9

Our Year 7 and 9 students have now commenced their NAPLAN testing, an important assessment that provides valuable insights into student learning. We encourage all students to approach these assessments with confidence, knowing that they are an opportunity to showcase their skills and progress.

Student Representative Council Elections

Congratulations to our new Student Representative Council (SRC) members. We are proud of all students who put themselves forward for nomination and look forward to seeing the newly elected representatives play an active role in shaping student life. The SRC is a vital part of our school community, giving students a voice and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to school initiatives.

Summer Sport ISA Finals

The Summer Sport ISA Finals will be held this Saturday at Barker College. Congratulations to our teams who have made it to the finals: Basketball Firsts Boys, Basketball Open C Girls, and Basketball Junior C Girls. We wish them the best of luck as they compete, and we encourage our school community to support them on the day.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to another great week ahead.

Best regards,
