YEAR NINE HAPPENINGS

The Year Nine cohort have had another busy couple of weeks.

They donned their house colours and put themselves forward, competing with spirit, at the recent Athletic sports day.  Congratulations to Stirling who came out victors on the day and well done to all for displaying your house spirit through competing and supporting your peers.

A few reminders to students and their families:

  • Students are required to sign in at the front office if they are late.  Could parents/guardians then explain and approve these late notifications via compass.

  • The Year Nine’s have this week commenced their PE volleyball program in our brand new gym.  It is truly an amazing space and the students have certainly enjoyed setting up and using the pristine equipment.  It is essential that students are wearing appropriate footwear.  School shoes can’t be worn on our new gym floor for fear of damage and marking.   Students need to be extra vigilant and wear their trainers/runners when they have PE on their daily timetable.

  • The VSC rugby top is only to be worn with PE uniform on the days they have practical PE lessons on their timetable.  If this rugby top is worn with regular school uniform on other days, the student will be issued with a consequence.  With the change of the weather imminent, parents are asked to support us to uphold the uniform policy at school by providing the correct uniform.

  • Lockers are best kept locked!  There are a number of lockers without a suitable lock or any lock at all and being left open throughout the day.  Please ensure you have a working lock to keep your locker and its belongings safe and secure.

The Year Nine cohort are having a wonderful start to 2025 and we would love for this to continue.   Keep working hard in your classes, completing your homework and assessment tasks and putting your best efforts forward in all that you do.
