Introducing our Science Leaders

Hi All! I’m Zach (he/him) and I’ll be one of your Year 11 Science Captains this year. I have a deep love for science and exploring new ideas and discoveries. I currently study Units 3&4 Biology and Units 1&2 Chemistry and I thoroughly enjoy both.

I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year and don’t be afraid come up and say hi or ask any questions.

BrainSTEM Innovations challenge

We have two teams of year 9 students who have signed up to take part in this year's BrainSTEM innovation challenge this semester. This is a STEM mentoring program for year 9 and 10 students to design, research and develop a real-world application along-side a STEM professional. 

At the end of the 12 week program the teams will then present their innovations to the other groups and judges at a presentation night where a winner will be announced.

On the 7th of March we attended the kick-off event at RMIT to meet the mentors and begin brainstorming. Our two groups of students are:

 Science Leaders Happenings

In term 2 our science leaders will be running fortnightly trivia with a bang where fun experiments and trivia will occur. Keep your eye out for posters around the school for dates/times/venue.
