Assistant Principal's Report

Mobile Phones

A reminder to students and parents/guardians that Mount Beauty Secondary College follows the Department of Education’s mobile phone policy. To support a focused and safe learning environment, students must adhere to this policy.

Students may bring a mobile phone to school, but it must be securely stored during school hours (8:55 am – school bell 3:20 pm). Non-compliance will result in appropriate support and consequences, with families kept informed.

Using Compass

Compass is our online Student Management System, and we encourage parents/guardians to check it regularly for important updates, including student reports, attendance, event details, and parent/student/teacher interviews. If you need assistance accessing Compass, please contact the office staff.

Progress Reports

Students have now received their first Progress Report for 2025. This is a great opportunity for families to discuss progress, celebrate achievements, and set goals for the next cycle. In year level assemblies, Student Engagement Leaders will be exploring ways to improve progress report scores and make the most of learning opportunities.

Uniform Expectations

Maintaining a high standard of uniform is important. Please check the following before students leave home:

  • School Uniform – Only approved uniform items are permitted (not other navy blue jumpers, sports shorts, sports shirts etc.).
  • Footwear – Black school shoes are required. PE students must wear appropriate sports shoes for safety; bare feet are not allowed.
  • Uniform Fit – Items should be worn as designed. Skirt and short lengths must meet school guidelines, and students should not roll up uniform pieces.
  • Respect for Uniform – Students must take care of their uniform and wear it appropriately. If an item is damaged, replacement uniforms are available locally.

SunSmart – During Terms 1 and 4, hats are required when outdoors. Borrowed hats must be returned after each break.
