Sydney North Athletics Carnival

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from the recent Sydney North Athletics Carnival! Congratulations to our Year 6 students, Finn and Alexandros, who have both qualified for the upcoming NSW State Carnival!

Alexandros showcased his impressive skills by securing 2nd place in shot put and 3rd place in discus, while Finn excelled in high jump and the 200m, finishing in 2nd place in both events.  Additionally, we’d like to congratulate Jackson for his participation in the North Sydney Area Athletics Carnival. Jackson placed 5th in the Junior multi-category 100m and 4th in the Junior multi-category 200m. Their hard work and dedication to athletics have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Best of luck to Finn and Alexandros as they prepare for the state competition!

Ultimate Frisbee

Roselea students in Kindergarten - Year 4 will be participating in the Ultimate Frisbee program this term from Weeks 2-5. Kicking off this Friday, this engaging program will introduce your child to the fun, strategy and teamwork of Ultimate Frisbee. They will develop essential skills such as throwing, catching, and basic game strategies in a supportive and energetic environment.

Wanderers Football Clinic

Year 5 and Year 6 students will participate in a soccer clinic this term as part of the Western Sydney Wanderers Football in schools program. Students will develop fitness, soccer skills and teamwork as a part of these sessions. Year 6 will participate during odd weeks and Year 5 will participate during even weeks. Please make sure your child comes to school in sports uniform for the sessions.

Badminton

Thank you Keith, our badminton coach who provided badminton sessions last term for all of our K-2 students and our non-PSSA 3-6 students. This was an opportunity to appreciate playing a different sport, develop hand-eye coordination and learn the rules of badminton. Many students enjoyed the sessions and we have seen badminton continued to be played this term.
