VOCABULARY
Story: A narrative that entertains the reader.
Narrative features: Techniques authors use to make their stories interesting such as onomatopoeia, adjectives, dialogue and figurative language.
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Students think of story elements such as character or setting.
They choose one part and think of adjectives and nouns that could describe it.
Example:
The green wide paddock had black wire fence around it.
The boy with freckles and curly red hair.
