Stage 3 ~ SURF ED
A day of fun, learning and surf education, Surf Ed was truly the highlight of the year. We are so grateful to have had this brilliant opportunity to enjoy the stunning Manly Beach whilst learning about the dangers of surfing and how to be safe whilst surfing in the sea.
On Thursday the 7th November, Stage Three had the privilege to experience an entire day at Manly Beach, which is the seventh best beach in the world. The day was filled to the brim with fun in the sun - even though the weather was predicted to be less than stellar, all’s well that ends well and it’s simply miraculous that there was no rain at all, making the day even more enjoyable for all of us. Throughout Surf Ed, we not only got to learn all sorts of important survival techniques for the ocean, but we also dived into the water for an exciting afternoon with surfboards. All in all, it was simply the best day, filled with education and learning. Now, our Year 5 and 6 students can proudly say that they are experienced “safe surfers” and experts in the ocean!
Thank you so much to Mr Clarke, Mrs Dickinson and Mrs McCawley for coming along to Manly with us - we know the job can be tedious at times, but your patience and guidance made it fun and enjoyable for all of us.
Parliament House
On the 8th November the Year 6 Leaders for 2024 visited New South Wales Government House for a fun, exciting and innovative leadership day. The entire afternoon was an amazing experience. Matt Cross gave a really long speech about the history of New South Wales government that was both informative and engaging. We also went tour of the whole area and we got to experience so many facets of Parliament first hand. We are so grateful to have this opportunity and this educational afternoon to learn about a big part of our community in New South Wales government. We also had the unique opportunity to meet the leaders from different schools around the area and make new friends. Thanks to Mrs Edwards and Mrs Hunter for coming with us on this exciting and educational learning experience!
Have a lovely weekend!
