Teaching and Learning
Home Reading
At last Friday’s Grade Prep to two assembly we acknowledged all students in those year levels who have successfully completed 200 (or more) nights of home reading. These students have also demonstrated a great deal of commitment and organisational skills by recording all books that they have read in their reading diary and submitting their diary on time each week as part of the homework expectations. A huge congratulations to the following students:
Bulldogs Read Literacy Program
Last Friday some of our Bulldogs Read Literacy Program participants took part in the program Finale
The Finale was held at Russell Square Recreation Reserve in Brown Hill and students participated in the Bulldogs Inflatable Roadshow and then had an opportunity to take part in a session with author Michael Wagner, who has written over eighty children’s books.
The participants interacted with students from the six other participating schools, and it was overall a very enjoyable day. Unfortunately, not all of our students were able to attend, as some were also involved in the Sovereign Hill excursion. We will acknowledge these students at an upcoming assembly and thank them all for the magnificent way that they have represented the school throughout the year in the Bulldogs Read Literacy Program.
We have been invited to submit an expression of interest to be involved in the Bulldogs Read Literacy Program once again in 2025. We will keep you updated in future newsletters regarding this program.
2024 School Magazine
We are currently in the production phase of the 2024 school magazine which promises to have many memorable photos and articles that help capture the year that was.
