Craftsman of the Year
In Week 10 of Term Three the Design and Technology department ran the annual “Design and Technology Craftsman of the Year” competition. The Mazenod Old Boys Association (MOB) and Beyond Tools should be thanked for their support by providing the awards for our winners. Also, a big thank you to all the students who entered work and to the staff, parents and friends who came along to view the work. There were some amazing entries and the results are below.
1st place went to Harrison G from Year 12 for the Cricket Bat Bench Seat that he designed and constructed. This was very popular with the voters and for his efforts Harrison receives $300 from the Mazenod Old Boys (MOB), a $50 voucher from Beyond Tools, and a certificate.
Luke D from Year 12 designed and constructed a TV Cabinet from recycled Jarrah winning 2nd place. For his efforts Luke received $150 from the Mazenod Old Boys (MOB), some goodies from Beyond Tools, and a certificate.
In 3rd place, Jack H, also a Year 12, designed and constructed a coffee table made from Marri featuring a river of stones and clear resin running down the middle. Jack received $50 from the Mazenod Old Boys (MOB), some goodies from Beyond Tools, and a certificate.
