Term Four Update: Billy Carts and Electric Discoveries!

As we dive into Term Four, our classroom is buzzing with excitement from our latest inquiry topic focused on billy carts! We kicked off the term with a hands-on incursion where students learned how to assemble their own billy carts. They explored the importance of screws and washers, discovering how these small components play a crucial role in building sturdy and safe carts. Creativity flourished as students chose from a variety of wood types and wheel shapes to design their unique creations. It was inspiring to see their imaginations come to life on wheels!

In addition to our billy cart adventures, our science lessons have taken us into the fascinating world of electricity. We’ve been investigating how electricity is generated, examining different types of energy sources. Students have learned about circuits and identified materials that act as conductors and insulators. We even explored the journey of electricity, from natural resources like wind to our homes, understanding the vital role it plays in our everyday lives.
