In Literacy, we have been studying “Finding our Heart – A Story About the Uluru Statement for Young People”. We have been practicing finding the main ideas and using these to summarise the text. 

In Mathematics we have been learning about area and perimeter. We have learnt that to find the perimeter of a shape you add the length of all the sides together and to find the area of a shape you have to multiply the length by the width. We have been applying this new skill to a shopping centre task where we had to design our own shopping centre with a total of 8 shops. The shops had to be a mixture of regular and irregular shapes. 

In AUSLAN we have been learning the signs for the letters and colours. We have got to play a number of fun games that allow us to practise these skills.
