Interschool Sports

Last week we made a short bus ride down to Frankston East Primary School for a practice interschool sports morning, playing both soccer and netball. All games were played in good spirit and the students had a fantastic time. Every game our students are getting better and the teamwork has been commendable. Next Wednesday, we have our lightening premiership, where we verse a number of different schools in a round robin style competition. Please make sure your child/grandchild brings a jumper and a rain jacket, as currently it is forecast to rain. Those playing soccer are welcome to wear soccer boots and shin guards.

JPC Grade 5 Transition

This last fortnight, our grade 5 students had the opportunity to experience some classes that they will participate in when they get to high school. They were fortunate enough to get a taste of science and food tech, two very fun and exciting subjects. In science, students got to make elephants toothpaste, blow a balloon up without touching it or blowing it up, use different chemicals on a bunsen burner to make different colour flames, and test different chemicals and their ph balances. In food tech, our grade 5's got to make pizza muffins and have a go at using oven mitts to put their pizza's in the oven and take them out.

JPC Production - The Little Mermaid

Last week our grade 5/6 students were very grateful to watch the John Paul Collage Production, The Little Mermaid. For many of our students, this was their first time seeing a play and many of them thoroughly enjoyed it. We thank JPC for inviting us to watch their production, which featured some ex St.Francis Xavier Primary School students. By the end of the day we all had "Under the Sea", stuck in our heads!

This week we also say goodbye to one of our students, JL. He will be sorely missed and we wish him all the best with his future.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Regards,

Mr Will & Miss Yvette
