Literacy

This fortnight, our Year 3/4 students have been busy honing their skills in information report writing. Each student chose an animal or country to research, gathering interesting facts and organising their ideas into a well-structured plan. After drafting their reports, students carefully edited their work and published their final pieces using images to support their writing. The highlight was proudly presenting their finished reports to the class, showcasing their hard work, creativity, and growing confidence as authors and researchers.

First Communion

A Big Congratulations to our Year 4 students who on the 15th of June will be celebrating their First Holy Communion. They have been working diligently to prepare for this most important celebration. Well done to: Dwayne, Harley, Xaivier, Matilda, Nicholas, Samuel, Maddie and Everard. We would also like to thank Fr. Chinua who came to visit the Year 4's during the week. Year 3/4 will be celebrating a Mass in Week 10 on the 26th June where these students will get to go to Holy Communion with the rest of the Parish. All parents and families are welcome to join us.

Inquiry - Water Cycle Model

In Week 9, we are going to begin researching and creating our water cycle models. For this project, we will need a range of different recyclable materials to help build our models. If you have any of the following materials at home, we would love it if you could bring some in to use for your model.

  • Cardboard sheets and tubes
  • Cellophane
  • Coloured paper
  • Cotton wool
  • Paper straws
  • Patty pans
  • String
  • Tissue paper
  • Wool

Other items are fine, the above list is just an example of some recyclable items that may be useful. Students can commence bringing these items in after the long weekend. We thank you for your continued support.

Have a great week!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Debbie Terry and Miss Becc
