Chess

It was Jeremy's 1st time in a chess tournament and participating in the Interschool Chess Tournament at Brandon Park.

He was the sole participant from JPPS in the Tournament, where over 100 students from different schools.  Over 10 schools took part in the tournament with full teams of 10+ students. Jeremy was the player on his own, yet still performed impressively and helped the school achieve a respectable 17th place finish.

  • 4 wins out of 7 rounds,
  • top 44% out of 110 players,
  • Jells Park PS 17th place finish

Naturally his parents are incredibly proud of his achievement and believe it reflects his dedication, resilience, and strategic thinking. They would also like to sincerely thank the school for providing the Monday Chess Club, which has given Jeremy the opportunity to learn, improve, and develop a genuine passion for chess. It is through this supportive environment that his interest has flourished.

Congratulations Jeremy on an incredible result for your first chess tournament.
