Sibling Enrolments for 2026

As we near the end of term we are getting close to the allocation of places for Foundation 2026. However we have a very low number of applicants from sibling families, which is very unusual. If you have a child that is starting Foundation in 2026 please contact the office for the information flyer on how to register on the Enrolment Platform (Insight) and apply for your child to attend Jells Park PS. This needs to be done now.

Performance Showcase

Have you put Wednesday 6 August in your diary???

This is the date of the JPPS Performance Showcase. We have had over 80 students audition to perform on this night, with a select 25-30 getting the opportunity to 'showcase' their talents in front of a huge audience. On this night we get a first glimse of the 2025 Wakakirri performance. Students have been practicing hard and and this is always a wonderful experience. Don't miss out!!

Important Reminders / notes:

Canteen money: We have had a long standing expectation/request that students do not bring any more than $5 to spend at the canteen window. Can parent please ensure that this is the case for their children. Please understand that the canteen should be for a treat, not for daily purchasing with large amounts of money.

Sharing Food: One reason for the above rule is it limits the opportunity for students to share food. We ask that parents remind their children to not share food. With quite a number of students with allergies (some life threatening) sharing of food is how issues arise. It is important that we do all we can to keep these student health and safe.

Recess and Lunch Eating: We are re-inforcing the expectation around eating food outside, mainly in an effort to reduce the amount of rubbish that is around the school. Students have an eating time in the classroom before recess and lunch. If that time is not enough, students will be encouraged to 'unpack' their food (leaving their rubbish behind) and take their lunch to the two designated eating areas - the courtyard or the shadesail area outside the canteen. These ares will be patrolled by staff and bins will be provided for any extra rubbish.

Students will not be permitted to eat while wandering the school or eat while playing.

This is not a new rule, just one that we are re-inforcing right now to ensure students eat properly and that we reduce rubbish in the yard.
