From Your P&F

National Volunteer Week
There are around 400 parents and carers who volunteer within the P&F events and activities. The P&F are immensely proud of how many people are engaged in volunteering within our community – and very grateful for all that you do.
Don ‘t forget to acknowledge a volunteer you know this week with a warm thank you!
Sports Canteen
A huge thank you to our canteen volunteers for last weekend for their generous assistance:
Saturday 17 May
Bec Ambrose (2 hours this term), Kylie Blaker, Cara Blundell, Belinda Caesar (5 hours this term), Michelle Carr, Angela Cervetto, Sabrina Ferguson, Bridget Gardiner (2 hours this term), Callum Howell, Julie Kaesehagen, Leiza Keen (2 hours this term), Delene Kock, Alicia Lee (2 hours this term), Cath McAuliffe, Nicole McClure (4 hours this term), Caroline Saunders, Kate Vuleta (2 hours this term), Meg Woods (3 hours this term).
The Saturday sports canteens operate as a partnership between MCA staff and parent volunteers. Term 2 is always where we need the greatest number of volunteers to work through the many coffees, burgers, and cold drinks that keep everyone’s Saturday afloat.
The P&F ask that families with a son playing sport consider offering just one hour of service in any canteen, on any week across the term. There are roughly 400 one-hour volunteer slots to fill for each term (to spread across in the order of 2000 parents/carers) – plenty of options to work with. Volunteers frequently report how much they enjoy their time behind the counter.
Come and join us, meet some new people and be part of a vital link for all our AIC families, adding just a little respite to everyone’s Saturday schedule.

(To limit food waste and enable necessary logistics for the day, decisions are made on Friday afternoon to open late, or close early for the coming Saturday’s canteens if volunteer numbers are too low to service the advertised opening hours. Please assist us by signing up by 12:00pm Friday wherever possible.)
