Bond University - Health Experience Days (June 2025)
Step into the role of a healthcare professional and experience what it's like to manage real patient care at Bond's Health Experience Day! This free event lets you work alongside doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to explore career pathways in the health sciences.

Year 11 & 12 students are invited to UQ's 'Western Civilisation Winter School', 7-9 July 2025.
Explore 'Macbeth' through performance, discussion, and expert-led workshops - plus enjoy live theatre, film, and a visit to the Fryer Library!
Free to attend, including accommodation and meals.

Congratulations Henry Waters!
We’re excited to share that Year 11 student Henry Waters has been named a regional finalist in the 2025 Queensland Training Awards (Metropolitan Region), selected from a pool of 743 nominees in the School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year category.
Henry began his barbering apprenticeship at Tommy Guns Chermside in Year 10 and was named Tommy Guns Apprentice of the Year in 2024. This latest recognition is a testament to his continued dedication, professionalism and talent.
We wish Henry all the best as he heads to the finals - congratulations on this fantastic achievement!
Powerlink Apprenticeship Applications Now Open
Powerlink's 2026 Apprenticeship Program is now open!
Opportunities are available across Queensland in the following streams:
This is a competitive program with over 1500 applicants last year for around 100 positions. Strong communication skills and preparation (including a short video and group interview) are essential.
Eligibility: Must be completing Year 12 in 2025 or have already graduated. A Cert II in Electrotechnology is not required to apply.

2025 Brisbane Careers & Employment Expo/Worldskills National Championships: 12 – 14 June
Exciting News! School Registration is now open for The Brisbane Careers & Employment Expo - June 12, 13 & 14, 2025 at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
The event will once again offer free admission and will run for 3 days, allowing schools the flexibility to schedule their excursions on either Thursday or Friday!
The Event will be even bigger in 2025 with the Worldskills National Championships running alongside the Expo.
The entire event will take place throughout all of the Exhibition Halls (1-4) so it's going to be huge with a variety of displays, activities, and opportunities to explore, engage and learn throughout the event!
What is WorldSkills?
WorldSkills Australia influences, challenges, and supports Australians to develop, recognise and promote skills excellence.
The WorldSkills National Championships is Australia’s biggest vocational education and excellence competition.
They promote skills excellence by delivering skill-based competitions operating at a regional, national and international level.
