Year 10 student led trip

On Monday (26/5) and Wednesday (28/5) students from the outdoor education classes embarked on their day trips to Warburton to facilitate their own ‘student led trip’. In the lead up, students spent time planning aspects of the day including selection of activity, itinerary for the day and cost and budgeting. They also explored and researched concepts such as minimal impact and risk management prior to going.

Mountain biking and high ropes were the ultimate winners, chosen from a broad range of activities offered by the Warburton Adventure Company. The days were lovely, and the scenery even better with lovely views over the Yarra Ranges National Park.

The mountain bikers ended their O’Shannassy Aqueduct trail ride with a walk through Redwood Forest, exploring its beautiful redwood trees and huge dragon's nests’.

Overall, it was a successful week of outdoor education for both classes.
