Year 10 Performing Arts Showcase

The Performing Arts team would like to congratulate all the cast and crew from the Year 10 Performing Arts Theatre Showcase, who performed to a packed audience in the Performing Arts Centre on Thursday 22 May. The self-devised student performances were a hit with the crowd which featured a variety of scenes including comedy, drama, dance, opera and self-devised works. The class was ably supported by members of Dance Club, Tech Crew and the Performing Arts Captains.

Each class member undertook production roles in acting, directing, set, props, backstage operations, costume, lighting, sound, hair and makeup design.

2025 Year 10 Performing Arts Showcase Success!

On Thursday 22 May 2025 the Year 10 Performing Arts Showcase was held in the Performing Arts Centre. The cast and crew performed to a live audience of staff, students, families, and friends. Mystery, drama, and comedy acts from the Year 10 Performing Arts class and the Dance Club crew were featured.

The Year 10 Performing Arts class met at the end of last term, all excited to put on a show this semester. Everyone has been working hard in both a performance (on stage) and production (behind the scenes) area to help bring the show to life.

The show was a big success because the cast delivered strong performances that truly connected with the audience. Everyone worked well together, contributing in their production areas and supporting one another throughout the process. Thanks to careful planning and teamwork behind the scenes, everything ran smoothly and stayed on track.

It is evident that the audience enjoyed the performance, showing their excitement with enthusiastic applause, as well as reacting positively to every moment on stage.

Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and we are grateful it happened. The lasting connections, memories, and skillsets we all developed throughout this show were worthwhile and truly inspired us to continue going the extra mile to put on an awesome show.

We would like to thank all the wonderful community members and teachers for their support, in particular Ms Andersen, Mr Pearse, and Ms James. We would also like to extend our thanks to the drama staff, especially Mr Jones, and to our class for giving us such amazing support and the opportunity to bring out the best in everyone.
