This week the class was highly engaged in consolidating subtraction skills. The Foundation class practiced making number stories and the Year 1 class learned how to set out and calculate large number subtraction problems using vertical subtraction without borrowing. 

In English we have been learning how to be persuasive. Realising what an opinion is and justifying our opinions with reasons. The students were able to give their opinion on several topics justifying their ideas with great reasons. 

We have started preparations for Christmas and the season of Advent by creating an advent wreath from native foliage. We will add the Advent candles each week as we prepare our hearts and spirits for celebrating the birth of Jesus.
