Medieval Projects

Year 8 Humanities

During our unit on Medieval Europe, students were set the challenge of creating something that represented that period of time. 

 

 From swords to Medieval Minecraft worlds, students created castles, shields, villages and manuscripts.  

 

Our winning students spent time at home during the term break and their lunchtimes at school to complete the work for a prize.

Our winners from 8H were the Minecraft team led by Esandu. Congratulations to:

Our winner from 8D was Yashmika Mohanakumar for her manuscript/booklet.

Yashmika used the "illuminated" method to create her book.

A castle designed and built by Annalise, Katijia, Monique and Stephanie of 8D using recycled materials
A castle built and designed by Tazmyn in 8H using foam that was cut up into small pieces and glued on to recycled cardboard.

Amber with the help of Tahlia of 8D created this sword with an arm protection
Jharhyss of 8D made a sword which unfortunately lost in battle to Amber's sword
