Arrivederci, Simona Paolillo.

On behalf of Epping Secondary College and the Languages staff, I would like to thank our wonderful Italian assistant Simon Paolillo for her contribution to our Italian programmes.

She worked tirelessly to produce linguistic and cultural materials that engaged our students, and sometimes stepped in to facilitate the delivery of content. 

Furthermore, she was instrumental in preparing our year 9 students for the Dante Alighieri Italian Poetry Recitation Competition, resulting in the awarding of two finalist certificates to Yuri Anwar and Ana Pupavac and many high distinctions. She created interactive resources, supported and extended our pupils, and also helped Italian staff to practise their Italian on a daily basis. Grazie!

You may have seen her in the yard or had the pleasure of seeing her in action in our Italian classes. Italian staff and students found her approachable and easy to work with, making her a valued member of the Languages team. Well-liked by both students and staff, she will be sorely missed as she returns to Italy just in time for a white Christmas.

 We wish her all the best and thank her whole-heartedly.
