Team Vic Track and Field Trials: Celebrating Brodie

Last month, grade 4 student Brodie represented Lyndhurst Primary School in the Sport School Victoria (SSV) Team Vic Track and Field trials. The Team Vic representative program provides a development platform for Victoria’s emerging student athletes to participate in the annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships.

Brodie and his family made the trip over to Launceston, where Brodie competed in the 10 year old 200m and 800m medley events.

On Friday the 24th of November, Brodie came 5th in his heat and placed 9th overall. He narrowly missed progressing to the final, however achieved a personal best time for this distance.

On Sunday the 26th of November he ran 200m as the first leg of the 10 boys 800m medley. Outstandingly the relay team won gold.
