Indigenous Students’ Immersion Camp

How fortunate two Monivae students have been, along with two staff, to attend an all-expenses paid immersion experience in Melbourne.  The opportunity, funded and hosted by Trinity College, the University of Melbourne, was designed to give Indigenous students together with staff from schools across Australia a taste of res college and Uni life, as well as to experience the sights and sounds of Melbourne.

Jemma and Ella, our two Monivae students, have had a wonderful time mixing with students from communities across Australia, as we have toured the University and Melbourne, soaking in the atmosphere and learning about the many wonderful opportunities open to them at the University of Melbourne.

Our thanks to Leonie Jongenelis and her team at Trinity College for the wonderful opportunity to spend a week in Melbourne.
