Sports Report

Hi everyone, my name is Ella and I’m your Sports Captain for 2024. I play netball for the Hamilton Kangaroos and basketball for Monivae. I’ve always loved playing sports and I’m a very competitive person.

Next year one of my main goals is to promote participation into sporting activities that the school provides for us all. Being physically active and having fun when participating in activities is such an important thing.

I would like to see Monivae continue being competitive against other schools when it comes to competing in outside school competitions. Monivae is known for being a fierce school to come up against when competing, and I would love the school to be known for this and our positive sportsmanship. 

I look forward to seeing everyone having fun next year and hopefully getting some wins  for the school name. Remember, let’s make 2024 even bigger and better.

Good luck to Yr 9 student James Wombwell who is travelling to Maitland in Jan. 2024 to  representing Victoria in the U21 Croquet Championships in January. We wish him all best and safe travels.
